ClearCost, Inc. (“ClearCost”) provides an online platform to assist homeowners in obtaining cost estimates and connecting with local service providers. ClearCost does not itself provide, supervise, or guarantee any construction, repair, renovation, or maintenance services.
The “Fair Market Rate” and price ranges displayed on the Platform are estimates generated from aggregated local market data, including material costs from major retailers and local labor rate benchmarks. These estimates are for informational purposes only and do not constitute a binding quote, bid, or contract.
Actual project costs may vary significantly based on: site-specific conditions (e.g., structural issues, code requirements, accessibility); material price fluctuations; seasonal demand for labor; permit fees and inspection requirements; change orders requested during the project; and any additional work discovered after project commencement.
All contractors accessible through the Platform are independent third-party businesses. They are not employees, agents, joint venturers, or partners of ClearCost. ClearCost verifies applicable licenses and insurance certificates at the time of contractor onboarding. However:
ClearCost does not warrant or guarantee the quality, safety, legality, timeliness, or workmanship of any services performed by contractors found through the Platform. The Platform and all content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
Photographs and AI-generated images used on the Platform are for illustrative purposes only. Persons depicted in marketing materials may be models or actors and may not represent actual contractors listed on ClearCost. AI-generated project visualizations are approximations and may not accurately reflect the final result of any construction or renovation work.
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. ClearCost does not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites. Accessing linked sites is at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ClearCost, its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or reliance on the Platform, including but not limited to property damage, personal injury, or financial loss resulting from contractor services.
